Sewage or waste water is the water that is generated by establishments like residential ,institutional, commercial and industrial. In many cases, sewage also includes liquid waste from industries of various types. Moreover households also produces waste water which is drained and segregated into greywater and black water. This greywater is very commonly permitted to be used for watering plants or for flushing toilets. Sewage water may include storm water runoff as well.
Sewage treatment or waste water treatment is the process of removing contaminants from waste water and runoff (effluents) generated by establishments. This involves various processes like physical, chemical, and biological methods to remove the contaminants. Its objective is to produce an environmentally safe fluid water stream or treated effluent along with solid waste or treated sludge which is suitable for environment friendly disposal or reuse as farm fertilizer.
We introduce a unique, emerging and innovative treatment process for waste water by implementing an advanced nano oxidation process. It is now possible in most cases of sewage water treatment to achieve potable quality water for non potable uses. The sludge generated is Non Toxic and its management is easy. Procedure is easy and swift with very little CAPEX.
For evaluating whether the resultant treated water is potable, Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) are two key parameters employed for measuring the oxygen in this treated water. Current pollution control norms demands stringent levels of these BOD and COD reduction parameters. This confirms that the resultant water is safe to release into water bodies and is also conducive for aquatic life.
